I just love Kary + Josh’s rockabilly wedding! The bright colors, the bridesmaids dresses, all the music details – all so, so fun! Jessica Velarde photographed this sweet couple who are both huge music lovers. Josh is even a music maker, so involving lots of great music + music details was a must! Congrats to Kary + Josh on your beautiful wedding!
What song did you walk down the aisle to? My little cousins (who are not so little anymore at 16 and 14) played an acoustic trumpet version of Fun People by Si Pudiera (They are an Argentinean punk band who we have seen numerous times over the course of our dating years. That band has given us some of our best memories together and I just love that song!)
Your exit song? To keep it rock n roll and punk we had Ramones, She’s a Sensation
Most memorable moment of your wedding day? I think when it just randomly rained! Well, it was more like trickles of rain. It was a super sunny day the entire ceremony and reception (I mean the sun was melting our records! That’s how nice it was) but when we did our first dance, the skies cried. It was so completely random and such a blessing! Good luck will surely come our way!
Any advice for those planning now? I did the whole DIY thing and now looking back I would of LOVED to have had a wedding coordinator/planner the day of! That’s one of the biggest regrets I have as a former bride. People continually bugged me about so many details that I wish I had a buffer between me and them. That way I could have enjoyed and relax on my wedding day. Bummer, but don’t make my mistake. Get a wedding planner at least just for the day of!
Other than that – breathe in and out! It will go by SOOOO fast. You won’t even know what hit you! Take time to take in your surroundings and your new husband!
