And a HALLOWEEN WEDDING! I love Hallie’s Halloween wedding she shared with me. A bit about her wedding from Hallie, “As an event planner myself, i have been spending the last three years trying to talk brides into having a “halloween wedding” since the holiday has been falling on some prime, fall wedding dates… I was unsuccessful until I became the bride myself. I knew exactly what i wanted – something unique, memorable and fun. I wanted to incorporate all of the aspects of a traditional wedding – beauty, family, excellent food & service, but I also wanted my guests to experience a wedding unlike any they had ever been to. The “halloween wedding” became my own. We turned the typical black and orange into a more modern palette of charcoal gray, orange & white – and we added some fun touches to the decor such as lamps for centerpieces, a “trick or treat” themed candy station & silent horror films playing on a big screen.

The biggest hit was allowing our guests to treat our wedding as a true halloween party – they had the freedom to choose their own costumes and it created the most eclectic, hilarious and relaxed atmosphere. Their costumes led to many laughs, stirred up conversations between strangers, and made the entire event so incredibly colorful – both in video and in spirit. My husband and I chose to be a bride & groom from the 70′s, which gave me the pleasure of wearing a wedding dress that has been in my family for generations. My mother, grandmother, great-grandmother (and so on) have all worn this lace dress that has endured many alterations throughout the century. My husband looked handsomely hilarious in his brown suit and fake wig & mustache. And our guests went above and beyond our expectations – even the band & catering staff were in costume! Yet all of the costumes in the world couldn’t have out-shined the love that was felt by everyone that evening… we managed to successfully create the most intimate, beautiful and unique wedding of my dreams. let the video explain the rest…..
