Tropical Neon Wedding Inspiration

Today’s fun styled shoot is all about celebrating. Celebrating Bustle Events‘ expansion to Southern California (welcome, guys!!) and celebration ideas for a wedding design that not only unique, but a whole lot of fun. There’s vibrant color, tropical blooms, and plenty of popsicles to go around. A good way to celebrate (<< we had to!) Monday, don’t you think? Let’s hear more about this pretty scene from the photographer behind it all, Krista A. Jones…

To celebrate the expansion of Bustle Events to Southern California, we wanted to embrace the tropical and sunny lifestyle we’re surrounded with here in San Diego. By taking bits and pieces from surf culture, tropical travel destinations, and an aloha state of mind; we were able to curate a very fun and non-traditional wedding design.

The shoot felt like you could be in the middle of the pacific, tucked away for an evening surrounded by palms and the sound of the ocean nearby. Florals were perfectly wild, just-picked, lush, and bohemian feeling by Bloom Babes. Paper details by Underwood Letterpress incorporated fun quotes about the sea and tropical living with bold black and white graphics. Details on the table by Classic Party Rentals were colorful and more modern while keeping the overall look fresh.

As soon as we started collecting inspiration for this shoot, we knew Pow Wow Vintage Rentals had to be included. Their peacock chairs, Moroccan furniture, and amazing collection of pillows were the perfect touch of boho and tropics we needed to pull the look together.

We’re really digging this place setting. Tropical vibes at their finest!

And we’ll take a couple of fun pillows just like these for the GWS office please (and thank you!). So bright + playful!

Cocktails were provided by Waters Catering. We came up with the name La Pina Loca aka the crazy pineapple. A mix of guava and thai pepper infused 10 Cane Rum, fresh passion fruit, lime juice, agave nectar, pina colada foam, garnished with prickly pear and edible flowers created a drink that could have only been imagined in our dreams!

When thinking about the tropics, popsicles just makes sense! Viva Pops has so many fun and tasty flavor combinations.
