Wedding Favors with Freixenet

Wedding favors are one of those things…what to give that your guests will actually like/keep/use so you don’t end up wasting a dime of that precious wedding budget! Today, we’ve teamed up with our friends at Freixenet (pronounced “Fresh-eh-net”) to create a DIY escort card that doubles as the most awesome favor, using their mini black bottles of bubbly decorated with gold leaf + calligraphy tags!

If you aren’t yet familiar with Freixenet, they’re the world’s largest producer of Spanish Cava. The winery is still family-owned, the grapes are harvested by hand, and their unique black + gold matte bottles are super elegant and easily customizable. The perfect thing to personalize + gift at your wedding!

The favors we created are truly a cinch. Order some Martha Stewart gold leaf ahead of time (or check your local craft or hardware store) + plan a craft night with your bridesmaids to tackle this fun project together!

Follow the gold leaf instructions on the packaging, but don’t worry about slight imperfections. They’ll only add to the pretty, metallic look of the Freixenet bottles later. We love that they feel really special being almost fully gold in color. We suggest DIY-ing or printing out a tag, or hiring a calligrapher to really make the name labels shine! Tie the tag the neck of the bottle + display the bottles at your reception in a fun way. We’re willing to bet this is one favor that will NOT be left behind at the end of the night!

There are so many ways to get creative and incorporate these adorable bottles of bubbly into your celebration! Of course one of the most obvious being to create a yummy signature Freixenet cava cocktail at your bar. Yum and yum. To discover more fun ways to incorporate Freixenet into your wedding, visit their Pinterest page!
