I just got an engaged! My fiance and I are trying to plan the wedding for this October so that my sick grandfather will be around to see his first grandchild get married. There are so many reasons why I want/need to go to this event. I was all set to go with the girls to Hitched in Palm Springs and when I went to purchase the tickets they were SOLD OUT! This is a perfect opportunity for me to find inspirations and ideas for my rustic, yet elegant, wedding that will take place on October 8th. I have SO many great ideas but need to find a creative way to bring them all together. I also think this event will be a great way to connect with my sisters since we all live in different places. Two of them are married and the other is still searching for Mr. Right… I would love to share my ideas with them and meet with vendors that I’ve fallen in love with through blogs such as Green Wedding Shoes.

I love love love the ideas of DIY weddings! I am getting married on a ranch in August and have been scouting out tons of ideas for our rustic wedding but just can’t decide on where to begin. I have been trying my best to create my dream DIY wedding while finishing school. My wedding is next October and I am still searching for decorating ideas. I have tried to put our own personal touch on everything but it is quite the daunting task. It would be absolutely wonderful to see all of the different ways I can make the wedding more “us”. My bridesmaids have been fantastic in this entire process and we are all just about to graduate from college so it would be a great trip to celebrate our success and the exciting endeavors that are yet to come!

Wow..what a great opportunity!! Even though I live in Vancouver but planning a San Diego (where I’m originally from) wedding, my bridal party would love to go!
